No-Bake Keto Peanut Butter Pie Jars

Start with a “graham cracker” base with keto-friendly ingredients like Lakanto’s Monk fruit sweetened chocolate syrup and crushed cookies, layer in the peanut butter filling, add more whipped cream, then get super creative with toppings like chopped nuts, sugar-free chocolate chips and candies. The toppings and base are totally optional, but it really gives it that full-on pie in a jar experience. So if you can spare the carbs for a day, or just want a no extra sugar added dessert, you’ll love this one.

Sometimes having family time can be really hard to fit in between all of your commitments, especially when you’re on the keto diet. You might be cooking extra non-keto dishes for the kids even. My hope with this recipe is it gives you a fun activity to do with your entire family without all the extra sugar. Kids and adults alike will love getting experimental with all the toppings that are available in the keto and sugar-free world.

If you are worried about the toppings and base adding extra carbs or extra ingredients you aren’t sure about, I’ve added a few substitutions below, plus these are totally optional. The keto peanut butter pie filling itself is super quick and easy dessert that will keep you in ketosis if consumed in moderation. If you’re a fan of peanut butter and all it’s amazing qualities, this will quickly become your favorite dessert.

Ingredients for No-Bake Keto Peanut Butter Pie Jars

    The Peanut Butter Pie Filling

No-Bake Sugar Free Peanut Butter Pie Jars main ingredients
    • Powdered Sugar-Free Sweetener - This magical powder lets you enjoy all the sweetness without ingesting sugar. I use Lakanto’s Powdered Monk fruit and erythritol sweetener in most of my recipes. As long as you use a keto-approved sweetener such as allulose, Monk fruit, erythritol, stevia or a blend of any of these, the pie filling will turn out as expected.
    • Cream Cheese - The creamy base that gives the filling its rich, smooth texture. Bringing it to room temperature means no lumps, just silky, cheesecake-like bliss. Use the brick cream cheese versus whipped.
    • Peanut Butter (Creamy & Unsweetened) - The star of the show, delivering that dense, nutty flavor we’re all here for. Choosing unsweetened keeps the pie keto-friendly and lets the natural peanut goodness shine. The only brand I’ve found that uses only 100% peanuts as its only ingredient is Crazy Richard’s. If you’re a peanut butter lover, pick up a few extra jars in bulk to save. And any nut butter would do nicely in this recipe. Try almond butter!
    • Heavy Cream or Heavy Whipping Cream - In traditional peanut butter pie filling, you’d just dump a tub of pre-made Cool Whip or whipped cream in, then call it a day. For this recipe, we’re making our own. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take too much time.
    • Vanilla Extract - A splash of vanilla is like the cherry on top; it enhances the peanut butter flavor, adding depth and aroma.

The “Graham Cracker” Base and Toppings

No-Bake Sugar Free Peanut Butter Pie Jars ingredient toppings
    • Keto Mini Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies, Crushed - These little guys aren’t actually graham crackers, but they add a crunchy, nutty base that perfectly complements the creamy filling. You can also sprinkle a few bits on top. Lakanto and High Key make the best little keto cookies. If you prefer to make your own “graham cracker” base, here’s a quick little recipe: Quick Keto Graham Cracker Crust: Toast 2 cups Almond Flour in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden about 2-4 minutes + Add to bowl Toasted Almond Flour + ½ cup Powdered Sugar-Free Sweetener + 1 teaspoon ground Cinnamon + ¼ teaspoon Salt + ½ cup melted Butter + Mix well + Press pie crust into jars + Refrigerate
    • Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup - Drizzling this adds a rich, chocolatey layer that protects the base from the filling. I use Lakanto’s Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup for this recipe, but sugar-free dark chocolate melted in the microwave with a little bit of coconut oil just might do the trick here.
    • Heavy Cream- More heavy cream whipped to stiff peaks adds an excellent finish to your pie jars.
    • Sugar-Free Chocolate Gems, Mini Sugar-Free Chocolate Chips, Keto Mini Crunchy Mint Chocolate Cookies, Cocoa Powder, Chopped Nuts – Experiment with all kinds of keto-friendly toppings! You could even add a little homemade chocolate ganache (chocolate + heavy cream)

    Notes

For this recipe, I used 8 ounce jam jars which is already an airtight container. If you choose to just create the creamy peanut butter filling on its own, make sure to store it either in the mixing bowl with plastic wrap on top, or any other airtight container so it stays fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days. Or you can freeze it for up to 3 months.

While making this recipe, I had the most wonderful idea. This pie filling would be the perfect center for creamy peanut butter cups! Just melt sugar-free chocolate, add to the bottom of mini-silicone molds, top with the pie filling, freeze, then add more sugar-free chocolate on top, then freeze again.
