If you have 10 minutes and a handful of ingredients, you can throw together these antipasto skewers and feel like you just won snack time. It's juicy olives, folded-up salami, marinated mozzarella balls, and sweet cherry tomatoes stacked on a toothpick like it is no big deal. These are my go-to whenever I need something easy that looks way fancier than it is. Perfect for cookouts (maybe even 4th of July!), pool parties, or honestly just standing at the fridge deciding if you really want to cook. (Spoiler: you don't.)

How to Make Antipasto Skewers

You know that moment when you show up to a summer party and you are starving because you thought you would "wait and eat there" like a responsible adult? Yeah, me too.

And then you get there and someone's still lighting the grill, kids are running around with water balloons, and all you want is something to eat that does not come out of a crinkly chip bag. That is why I swear by appetizers you can grab and go.

Antipasto skewers are basically the unsung heroes of summer parties. They are bite-sized, they look like you actually put effort into them, and you do not even need a plate. Just grab a skewer, pop it in your mouth, and get back to dodging rogue Super Soakers like the snack champion you are.

Ingredients You'll Need For This Recipe

  1. Slide an olive onto a large toothpick or appetizer skewer.
  2. Fold a slice of salami in half, then in half again, and add that right under the olive.
  3. Add a mozzarella ball
  4. Finish with cherry tomato.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use the right skewers - Go for the sturdy toothpicks or short appetizer skewers, not the sad little ones that snap when you look at them wrong. You want something that can hold all the good stuff without falling apart halfway to your mouth.
  • Fold the salami like a pro - Fold it in half, then fold it again so it looks nice and stacked. It gives the skewers that "I actually tried" vibe without taking more than two seconds.
  • Keep them cold until party time - These taste best when they are nice and chilled, especially if you are outside sweating your face off. Pop them in the fridge until the second you are ready to serve and they will stay fresh and delicious.
