Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Freeze up to 3 months.
Equipment:Loaf pan |Mixing bowl | Spatula | Parchment Paper
Protein powder: I used Keto Chow's vanilla flavor, which a milk protein isolate based powder with xanthan gum, acacia fiber, and vanilla for better texture and flavor. For a swap, milk protein isolate, milk protein concentrate or 80% casein/20% whey blends should work, but the texture will change slightly.
Sweetener: I used Wholesome Yum's Zero Sugar Honey Substitute which is allulose-based.
Lavender: Use food-grade, culinary-grade dried lavender only, like Anthony's. Use sparingly to avoid a soapy flavor.
Nutrition and carbs - Some nutrition labels omit sugar alcohols or allulose from the nutrition calculation since it does not affect blood sugar. I have included all carbs in the nutrition label above and calculated the net carbs below. Always use a food logging app like Cronometeraccording to the brands you use in order to get accurate nutrition information.
16.24 Total Carbs – 6.30 Fiber – 4.07 Sugar Alcohols – 1.25 Allulose = 4.62 Net Carbs per bar or ⅛ of recipe.
